This is a reminder, sent out once a month, about your catarina.usc.edu
mailing list memberships. It includes your subscription info and how
to use it to change it or unsubscribe from a list.

You can visit the URLs to change your membership status or
configuration, including unsubscribing, setting digest-style delivery
or disabling delivery altogether (e.g., for a vacation), and so on.

In addition to the URL interfaces, you can also use email to make such
changes. For more info, send a message to the '-request' address of
the list (for example, malloc-request@catarina.usc.edu) containing
just the word 'help' in the message body, and an email message will be
sent to you with instructions.

If you have questions, problems, comments, etc, send them to
mailman-owner@catarina.usc.edu. Thanks!

The IESG has approved the Internet-Draft 'Multicast Address Allocation
MIB' <draft-ietf-malloc-malloc-mib-08.txt> as a Proposed
Standard. This document is the product of the Multicast Address
Allocation Working Group. The IESG contact persons are Allison Mankin
and Scott Bradner.

Technical Summary

This document defines a MIB module for managing multicast address
allocation in servers and cliients, including those using the
Multicast Address Dynamic Client Allocation Protocol (MADCAP), RFC
2730. Interactions with the Multicast-scope Zone Announcement
Protocol (MZAP), RFC 2776, are also covered.

Working Group Summary

There was active discussion and review, due to new work on IPv6
multicast address allocation and source specific multicast
addressing, during the working group last call. IETF Last Call
brought forward no dissent.

Protocol Quality

The document was reviewed for the IESG by Bert Wijnen and
Allison Mankin. It was found to be a reasonable analysis and
good MIB.

I'm dealing with a multicast routing loop. The only address that appears to
make it outside our igmp snooping is 225.10.10.7
I can't seem to block it and I haven't figured out what is creating it.
Does anyone have some insight as to what this material is. Depending on
what it is, I would like to contain it. Any help would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks

Cameron
