Folks,

Pls note the deadline for messages of support or objection below: next
Friday 27 Nov 15.
Responses are required on the IETF tcpm list, /not/ this one.

The draft in question addresses one of the three essential "TCP Prague
requirements" to make DCTCP-like congestion control safe for deployment
alongside classic TCP traffic:
More Accurate ECN Feedback in TCP
<https://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-kuehlewind-tcpm-accurate-ecn-05>

Mirja Kuehlewind's initial code to implement this spec in Linux is here:
<https://github.com/mirjak/linux-accecn/>
It doesn't implement every aspect of the spec yet, and it needs full
testing. But it works.

Reviews of the draft or the code are also always very welcome.

Bob

Hi,

In the Yokohama meeting we discussed adoption of "More Accurate ECN Feedback in TCP" as Experimental RFC, with draft-kuehlewind-tcpm-accurate-ecn-05 serving as the baseline for the working group draft. We called a hum in the meeting that very strongly supported adoption of the document.

The chairs would now want to confirm the adoption call on the list. Please let us know by Friday, November 27 whether you support or object adoption of the document.

The proposed milestone is "Submit specification of more accurate ECN feedback in TCP to the IESG for publication as an Experimental RFC” — dated for Aug 2016.

- Pasi, Yoshi, Michael
