Yes.
Here's a summary now so we can focus on questions tomorrow.

As we discussed in Vancouver, we have accepted the automatic schedule
generating code, but are not going to deploy it in its current form. We
will use it as a base for research into ways to make it more useful.

We have accepted a set of tests that automate exercising the javascript
parts of this code (using the Selenium framework under Django 1.2).
Creating these automated tests has already had high payback in the form
of correcting bugs discovered in the javascript code as the tests were
being developed. Trunk is in the process of moving to Django 1.6, which
has a _much_ richer integration with Selenium. I am planning for the
tools team to port these tests into the updated framework rather than
merging them directly.

Michael is currently addressing a set of bugs and feature requests
identified while scheduling the Vancouver meeting. These include
* Improving how conflicts both to and from a group are displayed
* Improving navigation between multiple sessions for a given group
* Explicitly tracking the resources (projectors, meetecho, etc.) needed
for a session
* Including the need for specific people (such as ADs) to be present in
conflict resolution
* Addressing minor UI issues
This work should be checked in this week. We will need to work out
timing on deploying these. We will bring them in as quickly as we can,
but we are going to avoid the kind of disruption we had in the
meeting/agenda apps that we experienced before Vancouver.

Yes. So my question was whether there is some point where additional =

Ah - that's Bill's old tool. These new views we were talking about are
at the next two links to the right of where you found that one.
(look for References and Referred By). The newer implementation doesn't
use the question marks - ??? won't appear on the new pages
  - what they were trying to convey got encoded into the reference type.

You'll see some difference between documents Bill's old tool identifies
and what the new tool identifies - there are heuristics involved.
The new tool uses a stronger set of heuristics refined by Bill and
Henrik and should have fewer false positives.

Ah - that's Bill's old tool. These new views we were talking about
are at the next two links to the right of where you found that one.<br>
(look for References and Referred By). The newer implementation
doesn't use the question marks - ??? won't appear on the new pages<br>
&nbsp;- what they were trying to convey got encoded into the reference
    type. <br>
    <br>
You'll see some difference between documents Bill's old tool
identifies and what the new tool identifies - there are heuristics
    involved.<br>
The new tool uses a stronger set of heuristics refined by Bill and
Henrik and should have fewer false positives.<br>

Robert,
OK; thanks for the pointer.

Suggestion for the table on =
http://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/help/relationships/reference/
-- update the descriptions to quote or paraphrase the IESG statement =
(http://www.ietf.org/iesg/statement/normative-informative.html). For =
example:

"Normative references specify documents that must be read to understand =
or implement the technology in the new RFC, or whose technology must be =
present for the technology in the new RFC to work."

"An informative reference [...] provides additional information. For =
example, [it] might provide background or historical information. =
Informative references are not required to implement the technology in =
the RFC."=20

Thanks,
Alice

It is a major milestone.

I'd like to add to what's below that Henrik deserves special thanks - he

Hi,

This is an automatic notification about a new datatracker release,
v5.0.0, generated when running the mkrelease script.

Release notes:

ietfdb (5.0.0) ietf; urgency=medium

With this release, a journey which started in 2008 with a *major* redesign
of the IETF database schema has reached its goal. We've now converted the
datatracker completely to the schema designed then, swapping out all the
models that were changed, converted the database, swapped out all the GUI
code that was built against the old models, and polished off a host of minor
issues arising from the conversion. All this while completing and
integrating 10 major functionality enhancement projects and releasing more
than 50 minor releases, with not a single day of downtime. A history of
release notes is available here: https://datatracker.ietf.org/release/

In addition to bringing in the last scheduled polish of the conversion,
this release also brings in an upgrade of the Django framework from version
1.2 to 1.6, which gives us a number of new tools and possibilities for
   future work.

A particular mention goes to Ole Laursen <olau@iola.dk>, an outstanding
programmer at the small Danish firm IOLA, who has been doing a lot of the
heavy lifting in coding the shim-layer which made it possible to change the
database schema without a total re-write in the spring of 2012, followed by
the major code re-write which has taken place since then to get rid of all
the parts which were written to the old database schema.

Thanks also goes to all the IETF code sprint participants who have
contributed, and to Robert Sparks in particular who has contributed *a lot*
to make it all come together.

There are still some parts of the schema that need an overhaul, and plans
exist for addressing those, but overall we should be in good shape for the
near future, with some room to grow :-)

Detailed change information is available at:
