Of note: The Secretariat have now provided a model meeting page with =
childless pages (for IETF 101). The plan is to bring the last 10 pages =
in alignment with this.

3) There is an open question about where IESG Statements, and Appeals =
and Responses should live.

The proposal is to move them to the datatracker. This seems technically =
feasible (but will require some development, perhaps at the next =
CodeSprint).

ACTION: Ask the IESG whether they agree with this proposal -- Alexey =
has the action to raise this with the IESG.

IN THE INTERIM: We will create a set of index pages on the Wagtail =
website an point to static web pages.

4) Conduct non-IETF participant interviews to review and get feedback on =
the site. Four (4) interviews have been conduced. The summary is that =
the new website is much more understandable and appealing. There were a =
few suggestions about information to provide (notably about meeting =
registration, including registration for remote participation). See =
https://github.com/ietf/www.ietf.org/issues for more details.

5) Prepare for next round of community review. By 19 October, we will =
be ready for the next round of community review. I intend to craft an =
update and invitation to review the website to share with the community. =
We plan to have =E2=80=98office hours=E2=80=99 at IETF 101.

6) Ensure WCAG 2.0 compliance. Torchbox has implemented changes that =
have improved the situation. We believe the new pages now outperform the =
old www.ietf.org site in terms of WCAG compliance. However, improving =
accessibility will continue to be an area of focus for the revamped =
website, especially as we develop norms for content.

7) Improve data use and load times. The beta.ietf.org website was moved =
to the CDN used by www.ietf.org, significantly improving load times. We =
will continue to optimize elements such as images to further improve =
performance as experienced by the visitor. Of note, the reviewers =
interviewed did not report load time as a significant issue.

Hi Tony,(anyone)

I did a bit more to address reuse as the core makefile/repo is now
being used on a bunch of drafts.  I've added travis ci support for
drafts with yang models too.

Check out: https://github.com/louberger/xml-internet-draft-sample

a more complex draft can be found in https://github.com/louberger/ttesting

Dear tools team,
I had somebody complain about a draft transitioning from "AD is
watching" to "Dead" on expiration and then staying in that state when a
new revision is submitted. Is there a particular reason why it works
this way?

Thank you,
Alexey

I've just looked at the draft expiration code.

To understand this, one should keep in mind that there are multiple state=
s
and state machines associated with a draft. One is the stream state, ano=
ther
the iesg state, a third the rfc-editor state.

If a draft has not started IESG processing, nothing special would happen =
on
expiry. The stream state would be expired, and would change back to acti=
ve
with a new submission.

If the document has started IESG processing, and is in any state except
'watching' and 'dead', it won't be permitted to expire. However, in stat=
e
'watching', the IESG state will be set to 'dead' on expiry, and will have=

to be manually set back to 'watching' by the AD. This does not affect th=
e
stream state of the document, which should automatically go to 'active' o=
n
re-submission.

I don't recall the reason why the IESG transition from 'watching' to 'dea=
d'
has been explicitly coded in, but I can see several problems with not pla=
cing
an expired document in 'dead'.

The remaining question is whether the document's IESG state should be
automatically restored to something other than 'dead' when a new version
is submitted, and I suspect the answer is 'it depends' rather than a clea=
r
'yes'; hence it's better to let the AD handle this manually.

I hope this helps. If the document in question hasn't behaved according =
to
what I write above, I'd be happy to have a closer look.

Best regards,

	Henrik

This seems right to me. The "AD is Watching" state is not supposed to =
block expiry, so what IESG state makes more sense for a expired draft?

IIUC, The person that Alexey mentioned thought that the transition to =
=E2=80=9Cdead=E2=80=9D should be an explicit AD/IESG action, not an =
automatic one.

I=E2=80=99m not sure what I think about that=E2=80=94just relaying the =
message. It seem like some people read more meaning into the word =
=E2=80=9Cdead=E2=80=9D than do others.

Seems to me that this is in part a matter of what should be manual and
what automatic. Either moving expired drafts to dead so they don't litte=
r
up various lists of items under IESG processing should be automatic,
and resurrecting them manual, or moving them to dead in the first place
should be manual.

Seeing this from the outside, the current setup makes most sense to me,
but if the IESG decides it should be handled differently, I'll adjust.

Best regards,

	Henrik

Hi, I'm trying to replace an agenda and having some issues that may be a
related to a previously seen user (me) issue. I'm replacing an htm file
generated by someone else and after upload, I see the original file.
Note there is *no* error reported on upload and I have verified that
there is real content in the file. Can someone help? This is for

by Matt Hartley and I uploaded -00 and -01.

Thanks,
Lou

-00, -01, -02, and -03 have all landed in the agenda directory for IETF
100, so the uploads have worked. I now see -03 (which is .txt, the 3
first were html). Not sure what the problem is, and what I can do to
assist.

Hi Henrik,

Thanks for the quick response.

-01 and-02 showed the -00 rev after upload. Do you have artifacts for the
01 and 02 revs? If you do have the artifacts and they show the same as - 0
0 then something definitely went wrong on the server end as I didn't have
the - 00 Rev on my machine . If they are different then I guess it could
have been a caching issue somewhere along the way.

Btw I had no issue uploading the initial version for a different working group.

Thanks again,

Lou

Henrick,

There's definitely something odd going on a agenda *replacement*. I ran
a test this morning on the TEAS WG. I first uploaded the detnet agenda
(as a test) as I knew it loaded fine. After upload as -4 rev of agenda,
it was not immediately available (at
https://datatracker.ietf.org/meeting/100/materials/agenda-100-teas/)
either using the same browser or a different browser or even a different
machine - it did show up after waiting a few minutes.

I then repeated the same process for the real agenda (rev -05) and ran
into *exactly* the same behavior. The old agenda showed for *minutes*.
I tested this from multiple browsers and multiple machines.

On a related note, the tools page for
https://tools.ietf.org/wg/teas/agenda says "Sorry, no agenda available
as of today. Either no meeting was held, or the document has not yet
been submitted."

Thanks for the help,
Lou
