Hello,
before writing one (which should be pretty straightforward), I thought =
to ask here. Anyone has written and would share a script to pull out =
normative references from a list of RFCs and do the in-depth digging =
(i.e. follow the references)? =20

Thanks in advance, Marc.=

Both links work just fine from a selection of browsers/os/machines other
than Msoft. (Firefox, Evolution, Chrome) It also works on an old
version of IE8 but reports errors.

Presumably turning off some strict error checking in IE allows it to
display.

Running the page through the W3C HTML validator reports 14 Errors and 3
Warnings:

Won't argue with that, just point out that it's not entirely useless
as it at least names a person and a date for the change. FYI we have
the writeup stored in the database for each change on the history
entry - the current writeup is actually just the text from the latest
entry. So it would be possible to improve it.

I don't think the Datatracker is entirely consistent for the various
writeups in when it appends the text to the description that shows up
on the history page and in the RSS.

Hi,

it would be great if the main WG meeting minutes page (e.g.
http://tools.ietf.org/wg/ipsecme/minutes) linked not only to "full" IETF
meeting minutes, but also to interim meetings' minutes (
http://www.ietf.org/proceedings/interim/2013/05/16/ipsecme/minutes/minutes-interim-2013-ipsecme-1).
Otherwise if you want to find them, you really need to know what you're
looking for.

Thanks,
     Yaron

There are colored bars on top of the HTML versions of RFCs to indicate =
their status.
(Brown =96 obsoleted, blue =96 PS, purple =96 BCP, orange =96 =
informational, etc.)
Subtle, but very useful for experienced users.

This HTML version doesn't have one:

http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6775=20

Bug? Feature?

It does.  White == unknown.

Since the document is clearly standards track, but not explicitly
PS/DS/FS, it's probably related to the metadata, which I'm guessing
isn't available for this RFC.

rfc-index.txt has little ambiguity here:

6775 Neighbor Discovery Optimization for IPv6 over Low-Power Wireless
Personal Area Networks (6LoWPANs). Z. Shelby, Ed., S. Chakrabarti, =
E.
Nordmark, C. Bormann. November 2012. (Format: TXT=3D130616 bytes)
     (Updates RFC4944) (Status: PROPOSED STANDARD)

So, yes, it seems there is a metadata problem.

Great new feature! Finally milestones have a chance to stay current.

One suggestion for the notification;
Maybe don't record a change where nothing has changed?
(All the "set due date" ones.)

An alternative is to ask around about what other sites / software people =
use instead of Doodle and just standardize on that. Some of the paid =
sites are probably good, and I suspect that they will have a "unlimited =
number of polls" tier that would cost little enough for the IAOC to just =
fund it.

That is, all tools don't always have to come from the limited supply of =
hours that the Tools Team has.

I've not experienced that problem when you select time zone at Doodle.

That would be nice.
Probably easy for them to do if the suggestion were made

Or have Doodle improve their product.

There are also freely-licensed tools that do something similar.
Contributing TZ support to a project like:

  https://dudle.inf.tu-dresden.de/unstable/about.cgi

would be a great contribution to the broader community.

work most of us rely on regularly without explicit acknowledgment. This
work is very much appreciated!

While I agree it would be nice show how long the meeting is, the time =
zone support seems fine to me. It is possible to add the length of the =
meeting to the information about the poll.

For example, I just set up a poll:

  http://www.doodle.com/grbzmvs4em63927p

with time zones enabled.=20

Why isn't that adequate?

Bob

Nor have I.
In most cases the situation where the time zone were wrong were:
  a) doodle poll creator failed to pick a zone.
  b) doodle poll creator had computer without time zone support,
and was actually all their email and stuff was broken.

Yes... make a suggestion, they are really responsive people.
