I notice that the old meeting materials management page
<https://datatracker.ietf.org/secr/proceedings/> now leads to a new
destination <https://datatracker.ietf.org/meeting/100/session>. Under
the previous tool, Area Directors were able to update meeting materials
for any of the working groups they managed (and it may have been broader
than that -- it might have been any WG in their area or any WG at all).
Under the new tool, this ability appears to have been removed: I can't
perform any actions for any of my groups.

Was this removal intentional or an oversight?

I noticed this, too. Can we still get to the old version?

I think this is an oversight.

And irrespective of that, if we think it's right that ADs should have
this ability, then putting it back is easy enough. I'll do a patch.

If a reason to not permit this comes up, it's easy enough to back out
again.

Hi Adam,

I've applied a patch; please check how this works for you now.

Please note that I've done a new release earlier today, which has not
yet been deployed. When that happens, I'll have to re-apply this
patch.

Best regards,

	Henrik

The reason this is important for me this time around is that I have both
chairs for a WG unable to attend the meeting this week. Rather than
adding the people running the session to the WG as chairs -- which seems
a bit odd -- I'm uploading materials on their behalf. This seems a
perfectly reasonable use case.

Hi

We ran into an interesting issue with our IETF99 proceedings. We had two
sessions for DNSOP and the second set of minutes don't always appear.

If you look in the session area, both sets of minutes exist:

https://datatracker.ietf.org/meeting/99/session/dnsop

But if you look here, only the minutes from the first session appear:

https://datatracker.ietf.org/group/dnsop/meetings/

Does anybody know why draft-ietf-iab-case-for-ipv6
is unknown to the data tracker?

It went at least to version 06 (December 1999).

Hi Ben,

I=E2=80=99ve seen a number of these errors today. They are the result =
of the search index changing during a query. With the higher email =
volumes during the meeting this has exposed what might be a limitation =
in the search backend. I am looking for ways to mitigate this in the =
short term, and a long term solution as well.

Thank You,
Ryan

One possible way this may have happened is that the list of old drafts
known to the datatracker was constructed based on the secretariat-held
archives, where the draft exists only in compressed form (.txt.Z files).
I believe the -06 version was a tombstone version; but -00 to -05
exist in the tools-held archives.

I'll see if I can dig out an old script to add the -case-for-ipv6 metadat=
a
to the datatracker.

Best regards,

Hi,

I=E2=80=99ve got a draft which I ran through IDNits. The draft specifies =
YANG modules and contains tree diagrams for the YANG modules, which are =
in the document source as CDATA within a figure.

I generated the tree diagrams using Pyang and they compile without =
problems.=20

IDNits gives the following:

Miscellaneous warnings
=
--------------------------------------------------------------------------=
--

=3D=3D Line 240 has weird spacing: '...-prefix ine...'

=3D=3D Line 241 has weird spacing: '...-prefix ine...'

=3D=3D Line 286 has weird spacing: '...-change ine...'

=3D=3D Line 448 has weird spacing: '...-prefix ine...'

=3D=3D Line 449 has weird spacing: '...-prefix ine=E2=80=A6'

=46rom what I can make out (the line numbers in the output don=E2=80=99t =
match the contents of the document), these are the offending lines in =
the .txt:
Line 240 (actually line 285)
                    +--rw rule-ipv6-prefix inet:ipv6-prefix
Line 241 (actually line 286)
                    +--rw rule-ipv4-prefix inet:ipv4-prefix
Line 286 (actually line 331)
           +--ro ce-binding-ipv6-addr-change inet:ipv6-address
Line 448 (actually line 525)
                  | +--rw rule-ipv6-prefix inet:ipv6-prefix
Line 449 (actually line 526)
                  | +--rw rule-ipv4-prefix inet:ipv4-prefix

So, this seems to be every instance of a reference to type defined in an =
external document (via an include statement), which are mandatory (i.e. =
do not have a ?).

E.g. no error is thrown up by the following line:
         | | +--rw br-ipv6-addr? inet:ipv6-address=20

Here are the links to the draft that generated the warnings:

Ian

Right.

Idnits tries to warn about spurious double spaces inside running text,
and this is clearly a case where its heuristics failed. I'll have a
look to see if I can improve things the next time I revisit the code.

For now, after having checked the warnings and concluded that they don't
apply to this case, please disregard them.
